Deer enclosure

Pfrein, with its remoteness, represents the ideal place for wildlife. The animals can move freely and have a lot of retreat areas. With their heads held high the male deer carries its antlers and observes the few visitors curiously. The female deer are shier, the fawns stay close to their mothers. In South Tyrol, there are 55 game reserves at the moment. The keeping of wildlife offers an alternative possibility for farmers to cultivate their farms as sideline. Besides the beautiful sight, the meat is a valuable food supplement with its high proportion of omega-3 acids.
